Monday July 28th the start of the back off week


Talking a little bit about the start of the back off week, what the basic plan is for the week, and a special guest at the beginning.

Saturday July 26th evening circuit


The final set of this evening's circuit which includes: 2 cast wall walks, 7 handstand push ups, 2 cast wall walks, 5 dips on the gymnastics rings, 2 cast wall walks, 5 pseudo-planche push ups on the push up bars, 2 cast wall walks and 7 l-sit pull ups on the rings. No rest between movements, minimal rest between rounds. Shoot for 3-5 rounds. Awesome stuff!

Included are: 4-6 rounds of 10 sender jumps, 10 box jumps, 10 sender jumps, 5 depth jumps, 10 sender jumps, 10 squat jumps, 10 sender jumps, 10 1-leg hamstring bridges (5 per leg) and 10 sender jumps. No rest between movements, minimal rest between rounds.

Friday morning part 7: Gymnastics bridge


After 3 sets of yoga bridges, 3 sets of wrestlers bridges, and 3 sets of gymnastics bridges; here's the 4th and final set of gymnastics bridges.

Friday morning part 6: straddle press handstands


Against the wall, using no hop from the legs, just pure strength. Great for the wrists, arms, shoulders, back, lower back, butt, and legs. Awesome variation.

Friday morning part 5: Macaco overhead reach


I'm feeling so much stronger, more stable and more flexible in this movement.

Overall, these are going really well. This set was a little shaky though.

Monday morning part 7: gymnastics bridge


After 3 sets of Yoga bridges, 3 sets of wrestler's bridges, and 3 sets of gymnastics bridges; here's the 4th and final set of the gymnastics bridge for the day. This has improved so much, I love it.

My final set of bridging for the day. I hit 3 sets of yoga bridges, 3 of wrestler's bridges and 4 of gymnastics bridging. Take away the saggy sweatpants butt and these are improving a ton.

Love these, they are so much fun! Straddle press handstands with the back against the wall and no jump from the feet!

First practice of a full out butterfly kick from Wushu. I've been working on the prep step into it, but this was the first practice where I tried the full movement. I love it. It's going to be fun to see where this one builds to.

1-arm cartwheels from Monday morning


My third practice session working on this particular version of the 1-arm cartwheel. It's a slightly different way to get into the cartwheel, but I like it. It feels like there's a ton of power.

Here's the circuit that we used for our training on Saturday night. Try for 3-5 rounds. Start with 2 cast wall walks, 7 handstand push ups, 2 cast wall walks, 5 rings dips, 2 cast wall walks, 5 pseudo planche push ups, and 5 l-sit rings pull ups. Great for the heart and lungs, conditioning, strength, and th entire upper body. A great training circuit.

A great super set of tuck planche push ups and front lever holds. Here's the final set of the tuck planche push ups on the parallets. These felt really good. Feels strong, better body position, deeper range of motion.

After the final set of handstand push ups, here's the final set of 1-arm pull up variations on the gymnastics rings. Switched up the hand position on the assisting hand so it can't help out as much. These were tough and not very pretty, but they felt good and strong.

Tuesday July 1st evening: Lower body stregnth and conditioning circuit


Here's the final round of the lower body strength and conditioning circuit for tonight's training. With out resting hit 10 tiger squats (5 per leg), 20 1-leg burpees (10 per leg), 30 1-legged leg curl/hip thrusters (15 per leg), 20 split lunge jumps (10 per leg) and a 30 second wall drive sprint. Rest for 1-2 minutes and repeat. Work towards 3-6 rounds. Awesome for the entire lower body, the hear and lungs, burning fat, feeling awesome and more.

Tuesday July 1st morning wrap up


Wrapping up all the fun from today's practice. Including working on floor circles, handstands, freestanding handstand push ups, handstand to bent arm holds, straddle press handstands against the wall (a deceptive killer) Macaco reach backs and more. Fun day of practice.

Let's hear it for oblique training! Here are some side raisers (the last set of them for the night). Always a great one for the sides, the legs, the butt, the lats, and the arms. Fun and productive movement.

Monday evening part 7: hip raisers


Alright, this is not the most exciting video, lol! These are a great conditioner for the abs though, and they're fun to do. Here's the final set of hip raisers.

Monday evening part 6: V-sit holds


Working on mastering the v-sit. These are feeling tough but strong. One day I shall have my knees to my nose.

Monday evening part 5: 1-arm body curls


Switching up the body curls. Here's the final set of 1-arm body curls done on the gymnastics rings. Love them.

Monday evening part 4: Front Lever negatives and scapula D&R


The final set of these. Working the front lever negatives, trying to make them really slow while hitting a really good position. Then following that up with some scapula retraction/ depressions. Felt awesome and strong the whole time.

Monday evening part 3: L-sit to L-Planche


The last part of this super set. Really nailing the L-sit to L-planche. Today's were easily the best I've ever done on this exercise. Feeling awesome.

Monday evening part 2: 1-arm pull ups dynamic isometrics


The final set of 1-arm dynamic isometric pull ups on the gymnastics rings. These are awesome. Start at the top position then lower down slowly to the mid-point. Stop at the mid-point and build up tension for 3-5 seconds, then pull back up to the top. Awesome movement!

Monday June 30th evening part 1: Handstand to Straddle Planche


The final set of the super set of handstand to straddle planche and dynamic isometric 1-arm pull ups on the gymnastics rings. Not bad for a week a way. The first few sets were really good, and this final set went well. Love the parallets.
