Hit 300 Feet-elevated Push-ups

 Then finished off with 3 rounds of Larry Scott's "Ring of Fire."

Thursday July 28th night

Awesome training tonight!!

Started out with Chest Flies. Hit the first set for 12 reps, focusing on getting a deep stretch in the movement. Hit the seconds set heavier, for 8 reps, focusing on total form. The third set was even heavier, hitting 6, focusing on raw strength. The next set was even heavier, focusing on weight I've never moved before. The final set was lighter, focusing on doing as many as I could until the overall pain stopped me.

Moved onto Weighted Scapula Pull-ups for the same protocol.

Then hit Weighted Gironda Style Sissy Squats for the same protocol.

Moved onto 1-leg Leg Curls for the same protocol.

Finished up with 1-leg Calf Raises for the same protocol.

Rested between 30-40 seconds between sets and movements.

The third set was even heavier, hitting 6, focusing on raw strength. The next set was even heavier, focusing on weight I've never moved before. The final set was lighter, focusing on doing as many as I could until the overall pain stopped me.

Moved onto Drag Curls for the same protocol.

Then hit Jungle Gym Overhead Triceps Extensions for the same protocol.

Moved onto Wrist Curls for the same protocol.

Rested only 30-40 seconds between sets.

Moved onto 5 sets of 15 for Pelvic Rocks, resting about 20 seconds between sets.

Finished up with 5 sets of 15 for DVR Frog Sit-ups, resting about 20 seconds between sets.

The final set was lighter, focusing on doing as many as I could until the overall pain stopped me.

Moved onto Low Cable Rows for the same protocol.

Then Hit Lunges for the same protocol.

Moved onto 5 sets of10 for DVR Leg Curls.

Finished up with 3 sets of 40, 35 and 25 for Seated Calf Raises.

Rested only between 30-40 seconds between sets and movements.

The third set was even heavier, hitting 6, focusing on raw strength. The next set was even heavier, focusing on weight I've never moved before. The final set was lighter, focusing on doing as many as I could until the overall pain stopped me.

Moved onto 1-arm Concentration Curls for the same protocol.

Then hit 1-arm Triceps Kickbacks for the same protocol.

Then moved onto Wrist Curls for the same protocol.

Rested about 30-40 seconds between sets and movements.

Then hit 5 sets of 12 for Pelvic Rocks with 20 seconds rest between sets.

Finished up with 5 sets of 12 for DVR Frog Sit-ups with 20 seconds rest between sets.

Great stuff!!

Saturday July 23rd

Great Saturday today.

The morning was all about the Joint Mobility work.

Then evening was all about Ass Kicking!

Started out with Reverse Grip Weighted Chest Dips. Hit the first set for 12 reps, focusing on getting a deep stretch in the movement. Hit the seconds set heavier, for 8 reps, focusing on total form. The third set was even heavier, hitting 6, focusing on raw strength. The next set was even heavier, focusing on weight I've never moved before. The final set was lighter, focusing on doing as many as I could until the overall pain stopped me.

From there it was Weighted Back Extensions for the same protocol.

Then it was Leg Extensions for the same protocol.

Followed by Leg Curls for the same protocol.

Finished up with Seated Calf Raises for 3 sets of 40, 30 and 30 reps.

Rested only about 30-40 seconds between sets and movements.

Great stuff!!

Anothrer personal post.

 



 
 
Building off of the last few personal posts, I had a friend of mine that was wondering how I never became an alcoholic.
 
They asked me, "Brett, it's in your genes. How'd you never become one?"
 
 
An easy answer actually. I knew that it was in my genes and I knew that I have an addictive personality. So, I never pulled the trigger on the genetics.
 
Instead, I choose never to touch alcohol and choose my addictions wisely. I put my efforts instead into Fitness, Training, Eating Clean, Martial Arts, Gymnastics an Acrobatics, Guitar and that sort of thing.
 
And, I've never once regretted it.

Moved onto Weighted Kneeling Back Bends for the same protocol.

Then hit DVR Leg Curls for 5 sets of 10.

Went back to the original protocol for 1-leg Calf Raises.

Only rested about 30-40 seconds between sets and movements.

Friday July 8th night

Great training tonight!

Started out with Rear Delt Flies. Hit the first set for 12 reps, focusing on getting a deep stretch in the movement. Hit the seconds set heavier, for 8 reps, focusing on total form. The third set was even heavier, hitting 6, focusing on raw strength. The next set was even heavier, focusing on weight I've never moved before. The final set was lighter, focusing on doing as many as I could until the overall pain stopped me.

Moved onto Barbell Drag Curls using the same protocol.

Then Hit DVR Reverse Grip Triceps Extensions for 5 sets of 10.

Went back to the first protocol for Reverse Wrist Curls.

Only rested between 30-40 seconds between sets and movements.

Then hit 5 sets of 12 for Pelvic Rocks, resting about 20 seconds between sets.

Finished off with 5 sets of 20 for Weighted Frog Sit-ups, resting about 20 seconds between sets.

Friday July 8th morning

Great morning today!!

Started out with Joint Mobility and Flexibility work.

Then hit 3 sets of 10 of each movement in the following circuit:

a.) DVR Full Range Pec Contraction
b.) DVR Shoulder Rolls
c.) DVR Wrist Twist/Triceps Contractions
d.) DVR High Reaches
e.) DVR 1-arm Pull-ups
f.) DVR Abdominal Contractions
g.) DVR Squats

Then finished off with 3 rounds of Larry Scott's "Ring of Fire."

A Personal Post and much peace

A client of mine was talking with me about the personal post I made a few weeks ago and they said, "Brett, it's hard to believe that you are genuinely such a great guy, so truly happy and at peace and so in love with life; based on your past. How do you do it?" First of all, thanks for the compliment =) I told them that yes, my past includes almost drowning, growing up in an alcoholic and abusive household, being molested as a child outside of the household, breaking my back, and numerous violent real world altercations. But, that past doesn't define who I am. The past doesn't exist and it has no bearing on who you are today nor on who you will be tomorrow. Your choices make all the difference. Yes, I may have had a troubled past, buy many had far worse and came out the other end as well. My scars and hard times taught me what I didn't want to be and how I didn't want to live, and showed my a clear path on how to become what I want to become. It taught me how to be a stronger and better persons, and these are lessons that I can forever use to help others find the light at the end of their darkness. They taught me how to appreciate life, and all of the beauties in it. They taught me how to truly forgive and the magic that exists in forgiveness. And they taught my that I can always choose to be happy right now, for no reason at all. Once I forgave all those involved as well as myself; once I chose peace, love, happiness and beauty, everything else fell into place. And I am truly free to become the man I want to become. To be truly happy and at peace with myself and the world, regardless of what's going on around me. And I truly wake up everyday looking forward to the adventure of life, Loving life 100%, and being grateful and blessed for the life that I have, who I am and who I am becoming =) Much love, peace and happiness to everyone. And remember, I can always choose peace, rather than this =)

Thursday July 7th morning

Great morning today!!

Started out with Joint Mobility and Flexibility work.

Then hit 3 sets of 10 for Hand Extension Work.

Then hit 3 sets of 10 of each movement in the following circuit:
